As a result, the use of performance “ratings” or “rankings” in evaluating its employees by many companies lead to disastrous consequences as it merely reflect numbers and does not in anyway drives the employees to achieve the company vision and goals.

Conceptually, Performance Management is tied to Performance Measurement. How then do you place the measurements for a better assessment of employees? What are the objectives of the measurements? How do you help develop employees? How do you appraise the outcome and results? And lastly, how do you recognised and reward the employees?

The objective of this module focuses on the Performance Management process by setting SMART measurements with the view of elevating the employees’ productivity level, people development and the design of a fair and equitable reward system for retention purposes.
